Charity Collection For Retired Greyhound Trust

One of our Year 9 forms, 3N, is holding a cake sale at break and lunchtime this Thursday on behalf of the Retired Greyhound Trust, while this week's Friday Charity collection will be for Daybreaks Kennels in Solihull, part of the trust.

Mrs Maria O'Neill (Charity Co-ordinator and Head of Spanish) added: 'Lots of greyhounds need homes after they finish racing, and the Retired Greyhound Trust looks after many of them, until they can find a permanent home. At the moment, Daybreaks Kennels is trying to raise enough money to buy heaters for the dogs’ beds over the winter months. It is a small charity, and any amount of money can make a real difference. Please give generously!'

Tomorrow, we hold our annual Christmas party for local senior citizens in our Main Hall and thank pupils for their generosity over the last couple of weeks, donating money for the festive refreshments and Christmas gifts for our visitors.
