Double Delight For Hockey Boys At County Level

Emerging U13 hockey players Dan Barnes and Guy Jewkes have both been enjoying involvement with Warwickshire's Junior Academy Centre (JAC) over the winter. This has meant a number of matches and regular training sessions over the last few months.

Both boys were even more delighted by receipt of news that they had been selected in a squad of 15 players selected to represent Warwickshire in a tournament this weekend past. Warwickshire was taking on seven other teams: Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire and Worcestershire.

Well done to both players and all those who have made an impact in representative hockey this season. Many, like Dan who plays for Hampton-in-Arden's Badgers, are also enjoying club hockey.
