Bablake Electrician Raises £480 For Corley Centre

Senior School Charity

In March, Bablake electrician Mr Tony Jones had his head shaved at the Samantha Jones Hairdressing and Beauty Salon in Coundon to raise funds for Corley Centre, a local secondary special school for children with complex social and communication difficulties.

With his impressive silver-flecked locks now fully restored, last week Mr Jones returned to the salon to show the staff the cheque for £480 that he was about to present to the Corley Centre.

Mr Jones said: 'I am so grateful to everyone at Bablake for sponsoring me. The Corley Centre was overwhelmed to receive the money as it has lost funding for essential services.'

As we approach the end of another academic year, we will soon be in a position to announce the total of money raised for local, national and international charities; we await that news from Charity Coordinator Mrs Maria O'Neill.
