Home and Away- (5) World Scout Jamboree

Senior School Trips & Visits

We wish all our current and former pupils involved with the 23rd World Scout Jamboree all the best for the venture.

The theme for the jamboree, which will be held in Japan from 28th July to 8th August, is 'Spirit of Unity' and the UK contingent will be one of the largest, contributing over 4000 Scouts and Guides from the overall total of around 25,000 arriving from all over the world.

While in Japan, as well as enjoying the actual Jamboree programme and making great new friends from across the world, everyone will visit Tokyo, spend a day at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, and live for part of the trip with a Japanese family and experience the wonderful culture first hand.

We are certain the trip will be a tremendous, life-changing experience and we look forward to hearing more about it when everyone returns to the UK.
