Crystal Ball Is A Fantastic End To A Tough Term

Senior School Sixth Form

Our 11th Crystal Ball was the perfect way for our current 5th Form to celebrate the end of a tough term preparing for GCSEs. As always, it was also a brilliant chance to cement lifelong friendships.

Our Sixth Form senior prefects, student paparazzi, DJ Dan Williams (alongside able apprentice DJ Ali-Hamzah Ahmed), Head of Fifth Year Mrs Lisa French, Fifth Form tutors and many other staff helped make the evening one to remember for our pupils.

After guests were greeted by their peers and the 'paparazzi', music, food and friendship helped the evening pass by in a flash. The innovation of a free raffle added further excitement, and a core of hardy revellers on the dance floor enjoyed the excellent set from DJ Dan late into the evening.

Photographs from the evening are being posted here over the Easter break. We thank Kirat Johal and her team (Roisin Bowe, Hannah Mordey and Bryony Wellings) for their excellent work capturing memories that will be treasured by revellers, friends and family for years.

The Crystal Ball was instigated in 2006 by Bablake Upper Sixth formers at the time, Lauren Bates and Haydn Johnson, under the watchful brief of school captain Alex Kantor. The money raised at the event is split evenly between a charity of the students' choice and their own Leavers' Ball held at the end of the academic year.
