Scottish International Centre Coaches Bablake's 1st XV

Scottish rugby international Nick De Luca joined our 1st XV for its Friday evening training session last week and we are delighted he will be coaching the team when his professional commitments for Wasps RFC allow during games sessions and after school.

The 32 year old Wasps centre, a recent signing from Biarritz Olympique and capped 43 times for Scotland, will be working with our senior players, who have begun the 2016-17 season full of enthusiasm, on the back of an excellent summer tour in South Africa.

When he signed in July for Wasps RFC, Nick De Luca said: "I can't wait to become part of the Wasps family. I followed the team’s success last year and I'm excited by their ambition and their style of play. I'm looking forward to adding to an already world class group of players, staff and fans."

Mr Rob Burdett, Head of Boys' PE and Bablake's 1st XV coach, would surely echo those sentiments, as he looks forward to seeing his squad learn from such an experienced player, develop its skills and enjoy an excellent season.
