Carol Service Brings Bablake Community To The Cathedral

Senior School Peace and Reconciliation

As our Autumn term reaches its conclusion today, we wish pupils, parents and staff a restful festive break before returning in 2017 ready for the academic challenges ahead, especially for those taking public examinations in the summer and Mocks beforehand.

Yesterday, the Bablake community spent the afternoon at Coventry Cathedral enjoying a multi-faith celebration of the festive period at our 2016 Carol Service. Chaplain Reverend Sacha Slavic (Religious Studies), who led the service, commented:

"I was very privileged to lead an overwhelmingly positive Christmas service for our Senior and Junior Schools as well as the broader Bablake community. Multi-faith prayers for peace and reconciliation were followed by the Christmas story, related by our excellent readers and expressed in song and music by our choirs and ensembles. All in all, over 1500 people left the Cathedral with a warm, positive feeling about the holiday ahead."

Thank you to our Chaplain and Music department for organising such a successful event. It was another day where everyone was very proud to be part of the Bablake community.
