A Level Artists Inspired By Canal Basin Visit

Senior School Art

Our A Level art students were introduced to the work of Adie Blundell this week.

Bablake's Art department took a small group of A level pupils to the Canal Basin, part of Coventry's creative corner, to meet Adie Blundell, a well-known local artist, at his studio.

Mr Blundell gave a fascinating tour of his studio and delivered a thorough talk on the ideas behind his work and its development, covering what motivates and drives him creatively.

Mr Paul Cleaver (Head of Art) added: "Adie Blundell's work, which has been shown at The Herbert Art Gallery amongst other places, defies classification and often takes the form of intricately layered drawings and multimedia sculptural creations."

We thank Mr Blundell for the time given to our students.
