Distinctions Celebrated By Musical Duo

Senior School Music

December's ABRSM examination results brought excellent news!

Bablake's Music department held its regular winter examination session for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music at the end of the Autumn term.

Amongst the young musicians being put through their paces, there were around 20 candidates from either our Senior or Junior School all prepared for various examinations, ranging from prep test piano - in the case of some of our youngest pupils - right up to Grade 8 harp for talented Sixth Former Avni Kant.

We are especially delighted to report that two of our pupils received particularly excellent results. Imogen (from BJS) received a distinction for her Grade 1 violin, while Shell form Music scholar Harry Scott-Burt, already a Grade 8 cellist, was awarded a high distinction for Grade 7 piano - his hobby instrument!

Congratulations to all pupils who took their examination in this session; it is always a pleasure to see them progress up the grades as they move up the school!
