Dan Heads To Sri Lanka With Warwickshire CC

Senior School Cricket

Dan Mousley has taken a break from his GCSE studies to head to Sri Lanka with Warwickshire CCC's academy.

Dan, a key member of Bablake's 1st XI and a current cricket scholar, has spent half term with the Bears' cricket academy in Sri Lanka on a training tour which, while a brief but welcome break from GCSE studies, has included three games against local first class 2nd XI or Academy sides.

The idea behind the tour is to give the players invaluable experience in training and match play conditions which would include heat, humidity and different pitches, thereby taking the tourists out of their comfort zone and giving them the opportunity to learn more about the game and the teamwork necessary to succeed in such a situation.

We are certain Dan's experience in Sri Lanka will prove most useful knowledge for the rest of our senior cricketers and hockey players who will also be touring there later this year.
