Thank You For The Music

A most enjoyable Easter Concert took place last night in the EDM Theatre.

Traditionally the Easter Concert is an emotional moment, the time to bid farewell to our U6th musicians and present them with a small token of thanks, usually a most inviting Easter egg. 2017 was no different in this regard!

Director of Music Mr Tim Crompton had paid tribute to the U6th Leavers earlier in the day, saying: "Albert, Beth, Hannah C, Hannah J, Harry, Howard, Katerina and Lydia have been at the heart of Bablake's Music for so long - some of these super musicians have even been playing with us since Y3 in the Junior School! It has been a privilege and a pleasure to work with such a talented group and whether via the Arts Award, Charity Music Shows, Drama, House Music or numerous recitals and concerts, their contribution to Bablake's music has been huge."

Audience reaction to the evening, gauging posts on social media, was also most positive. Everyone had thoroughly enjoyed the evening's music, appreciating that the programme presented had showed off the full range of Bablake's talented ensembles.
