Charity Enterprise Inspires Entrepreneur Abz

Senior School Junior School

Typically a rainy Easter Bank Holiday Sunday makes people think about Summer sunshine and a possible ice cream van visit! For one of our pupils, it seems that this idea is already becoming a flourishing business.

Shell former Abdulla Navsarka was inspired by Bablake Junior School teacher Miss Sarah Young's Charity Enterprise venture last year. Miss Young challenged groups of pupils to turn £20 into a profit for local Charities. Abdullah hit on the idea of making 'freak ice creams' and returned an impressive £180 profit for charity.

Bitten by the bug for enterprise, Abdullah has invested in 'dessertvan.co.uk' which is already tickling the taste buds of all ages in Coventry and Warwickshire. Along the way, it is no surprise that he has also created a local media stir with radio stations and local press keen to interview him. We look forward to seeing how this excellent entrepreneurial idea develops.
