It's Silver For Kare At The World Para Athletics Championships

Senior School Sport

Despite a summer training programme interrupted by GCSE revision and an exhausting series of examinations, Bablake's Kare Adenegan has won a stunning T34 100m silver medal at the World Para Athletics Championships in London.

Kare's start to the race was superb and she was initially a good distance ahead of Olympic champion Hannah Cockroft. However a superb world record time by the latter meant that Kare had to take comfort in the silver medal - another tremendous achievement in her impressive career.

Team GB paralympians Kare and Hannah should resume their battle on the track on Monday night (July 17th) in the 800m final and then again on Thursday evening (July 20th) for the 400m race.
