Soup-er Staff Start Fundraising For Christian Aid Lent Appeal

Charity

Yesterday a good number of our teaching and support staff took part in the Christian Aid Lent Souper Lunch. Charity coordinator and Head of Spanish Mrs Maria O'Neill explains further:

'The idea is that during Lent you make a soup lunch for your colleagues, they donate some money in return and then this amount is sent to Christian Aid for their Lent appeal. We were delighted to raise over £50 for the appeal yesterday and will be donating this Friday's Charity collection as well.

Thanks go to Mrs Scott-Burt especially for arranging the lunch and making the bulk of the soup sold. The home-made tomato and basil, and a bacon minestrone were both very well received.'

In fact Mrs Scott-Burt is no stranger to soup as she produces large quantities of home-made soup for the Hope4 charity she volunteers for. This charity feeds homeless and vulnerable people in Rugby three times a week.
