Exceptional Talent- (3) Jasmine Marajh (Swimming)

Senior School Sport

Today's focus on exceptional sporting talent at a national level turns to swimming.

We were delighted to receive the exciting news early in the summer break that Jasmine Marajh had been selected for Trinidad and Tobago's national swimming team and is currently preparing to fly out to her training camp, where she will train for the 21st Goodwill Swim Meet later this month.

The Goodwill Swim Meet is an annual competition between Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Guyana and St. Lucia, and we wish Jasmine all the very best for the races.

The Newsroom has been alerted recently to further excellent progress in the pool by Bablake swimmers Georgia Ementon and Nick Payne, and we look forward to reporting on their future success and that of other excellent swimmers such as Lucas Williams.

We are very aware of the intense training that pupils involved in this sport commit to. They manage this impeccably as well as contributing fully to a hectic daily school programme in and out of the classroom.
