Junior School Pupils Hit The Right Note

Junior School Music

Bablake Junior School pupils once again show their passion for music with success in their recent exams.

Star violinist Daniel is celebrating his Level 6 violin pass and is currently in the Coventry and Warwickshire Youth Orchestra. Alongside him in the picture below are Ernest and Laurence who both achieved their Grade 1 in drums.

Daniel's achievement joins a long list of musical success stories at the school. Last summer Kate Sexton recorded top marks in her Grade 1 Violin exam with a score of 146 out of 150, despite only playing the violin for a few months. Kate was given the opportunity to play the violin as part of Bablake School’s carousel of instrumental teaching in Year 4. Carousel instrument teaching allows all Year 4 students to learn three new instruments over the year, a String instrument in Term 1, Brass in Term 2 and Wind in Term 3.

Opportunities to get involved in Music at the school are vast with 10 different music clubs available for students to join. Everyone is currently excited by the formation of a new school rock band!

Music thrives at Bablake Junior School and pupils are able to continue their musical interest into the Senior School where they will have access to further specialist lessons.
