Bablake Sixth Formers' Hair Raising Experience For Charity

Sixth Form Charity

Three brave Sixth Form students trusted their peers' dexterity as barbers to help raise over £250 for Papyrus, a charity that endeavours to prevent youth suicide.

Ali Hijazie, Josha Hundal and Ben Jones - two of whom recently featured in our latest Sixth Form Voice leaflet - will be hoping for some late Autumnal sunshine during Half Term or a fetching hat or hoodie to stave off the cold after losing their locks to their makeshift barbers. It has to be said that, typically, impressive care was taken by these friends during the cut which took a good 30 minutes each and delighted an eager crowd and the Bablake paparazzi.

By the finish, it has to be said that all three were perfect lookalikes for a good number of their more follicly free teachers, and a senior member of staff was reported to have accused them in the school corridor later of modelling themselves on him!

As we look forward to plenty of hair growing back on all three of these students over Half Term, we congratulate them on raising such a super sum of money for a very worthy charity.
