Mr West's Travels Begin

Senior School Community

4W's form tutor, Head of Design Technology Mr Chris West is no stranger to a school trip and his 2016 travels began with a 'Ghost Walk' for his tutor group earlier this term.

The tutor group took an evening off from the stresses and strains of its GCSE and iGCSE studies for an excellent time in Stratford. The fun started with an excellent meal at Bella Italia - of course other restaurants were available - where we hear vast quantities of pizza and pasta were consumed, followed by shot glasses full of cheesecake and banoffee pie. There was also much fun had with a giant block of parmesan cheese for some!

A short stroll down to the waterfront then ensured a successful rendezvous with our host for the ghost walk, Vincent. Resplendent in Victorian attire, which certainly added to the atmosphere, Vincent then led us on a walk around the streets, while telling stories about bodies being discovered, murders, mysterious disappearances and unexplained happenings.

After a great evening out, 4W returned to school, reflecting fondly on a night which had already been enhanced by various staff excusing the group its homework for just this once!

We now look forward to hearing more of Mr West's travels in Berlin with a sizeable party of Bablake pupils and staff from Design Technology, History and Modern Languages - German.
