Coventry City Legends Help Children In Need Fundraising

Current and former Coventry City footballers, as well as popular mascot Sky Blue Sam, came to Bablake yesterday to help our 2014 BBC Children In Need fundraising.

After a short press conference in the Bablake Junior School hall, the teams warmed up for the game with the BBC Midlands cameras also at hand. The game, watched by pupils from both the Senior and Junior schools, was an exciting 5-5 draw. Messrs Benfield, Bogyor and Norman, all teachers from our Junior School, acquitted themselves well in the game, rubbing shoulders with 'legends' Andy Blair, David Busst, Dietmar Bruck, 'Harry' Roberts and current players Aaron Phillips and Jordan Willis.

Across the campus, we are confident we will have raised over £1000 for BBC Children In Need. Well done to all those who donated towards this excellent charity.
