2013-14 Charity Fundraising Total Is A Record

Last year's fundraising for local, national and international charities reached an impressive total of £24,802.46, which surpassed the record sum raised in 2012-13.

Charity Coordinator Mrs Maria O'Neill (also Head of Spanish) said: 'When I took over Bablake's fundraising from Mrs Alyson Heath, I was aware that the school had regularly raised around 20k and, in fact, in the last couple of years well over that sum. I set myself the target of reaching at least 20 thousand pounds but I am incredibly proud of the pupils, staff and parents for raising the record total!

I would like to thank everyone for either organising events or supporting them by attending and/ or donating to the charities selected. My Charity Prefects worked above and beyond expectations and I have high hopes of my new team for 2014-15.'

There are already exciting plans in place to continue our fundraising in 2014-15 and we will post about these in the coming weeks, as well as introduce the new team of Charity Prefects.
