Excellent Support For Macmillan Fundraising

Last year's Bablake Macmillan team raised an amazing £4390.87 for Macmillan Cancer Support and last week, before they headed to university, the U6th Leavers who were instrumental in raising such an excellent amount of money returned to advise the new team for 2014-15.

Charity Coordinator Mrs Maria O'Neill (also Head of Spanish) said: 'When I think of our 2013-14 Macmillan team, the following quotation is very apt: "It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.'' Every member of the team has dedicated a lot of time and effort to make the fundraising such a success. I am incredibly proud of all of them!'

We hope that the Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning- with events arranged by both pupils and staff- and our Charity Calendar will once again help raise money for Macmillan over 2014-15.

Tomorrow we will outline the total of charity money raised during 2013-14 and then, later this week, we will report on some of the fundraising already completed or planned for this month.
