Coventry University Young Women In Engineering Day Is A Hit With Our Pupils

Engineering Co-curricular

Late last month, alongside Mr Trevor Hyde (Head of Physics), a dozen of our second year pupils attended a 'Young Women in Engineering' event at Coventry University. They took part in three exciting challenges: making an electric car that could negotiate a bridge whilst carrying a golf ball; working out how to break into four websites as part of the 'Ethical Hacking' course; and buidling a tower from newspapers that could support a can of beans.

Mia McGlinchey and Maryam Zazmi won second prize for their design work, while Grace Giles and Kelly Turnbull won first prize for their teamwork. Our thanks go to Coventry University and theImagineering team for organising this event.
