Woodland Conservation Group Starts A New Year

Sixth Form Enrichment

Our U6th Enrichment Woodland Conservation group has made an excellent start to this year's activities for the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust.

We are grateful, as ever, to Mr Paul Cleaver (Head of Art), for his work on arranging these activities and liaising with the Trust over the summer, and the pictures show our first group hard at work clearing brambles and expanding the path in the meadow at Tocil Wood (near the University of Warwick). Over the weeks leading up to half term, we are planning to continue some tree-felling to preserve the habitat at Claybrooke Marsh, as well as clear a larger section in the Tocil meadow.

Not only has important conservation begun, but Mrs Cathy Scott-Burt (Head of Enrichment) has also treated a number of the group for arachnophobia!
