Kare Heads to Qatar For World Championships

Wheelchair athlete Kare Adenegan has been selected to represent Great Britain at the IPC Athletics World Championships in Doha, Qatar next month.

Kare, who only began racing after being inspired by the 2012 Paralympics in London, will be racing in the T34 100m, 400m and 800m events and her transition from the GB Junior team to the Seniors is a massive achievement. Undoubtedly Kare's family, friends, training partners (at Coventry Godiva Harriers) and sponsors are all immensely proud of her selection, and wish her the very best for October's races. 

On the day Kare found out about her selection, she also discovered she had been shortlisted for 'Young Sportsperson Of the Year' at the Coventry Telegraph's annual Sports Awards, so October is looking very busy!
