Pupils' Artwork On Display At The Herbert

Archive Archive

Rebecca Brown, Arun Dhanjal and Beth Rowlands are just three of our 4th year (Year 10) pupils to be proudly displaying their artwork in the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum's current Coventry Schools Art exhibition which runs until Sunday 4th July.

Mr Paul Cleaver, Head of Art, said: 'It is a fantastic platform for the pupils to launch their paintings. The majority of work on display is by GCSE and A Level pupils and our pupils' work stands up to comparison with this, so they should feel really proud.'

Jack Newman is another 4th year pupil who has a painting in the exhibition. Older pupils, Clare Jepson and Hannah Elsy have photographs up of their textiles pieces and there are also photographs on display of some of our 5th year sculptures.

You are reminded that this year's Art and Design Technology Exhibition for GCSE and A Level work is on Thursday 24th June from 5pm to 7pm. Everyone is very welcome to attend this.

Bablake's Art Department has also posted pupils' artwork on the Saatchi Online gallery and further information about this will be posted later in the year.
