Bablake Weather Station Makes The News Again

Archive Archive

Earlier this year, Bablake's Weather Station, which has been operating for over 30 years under the enthusiastic guidance of Mr Steve Jackson, Head of Geography, was featured in BBC 1's 'Wild Weather' programme.

After the team's excitement at meeting BBC Midlands' presenter Shefali Oza and being filmed going about its daily business of recording and monitoring readings, focus has again turned to the Weather Station amid the chilly end to November.

The Coventry Telegraph reported on its front page that our Weather Station had recorded 28th November as the coldest day in this month since records began and Mr Steve Jackson has been busy commenting on the extremes and the outlook for early December.
