Focus on Bablake Junior School- (5) Cross Country Success

Archive Archive

Today is the fifth and final of a series of features on our Junior School, located on the same campus as our Senior School.

Bablake Junior School kept up its fine cross country form in last term's relays. While, the mixed team battled hard and Jodi Thandi's running moved the team to 2nd position, the girls' team was victorious for an amazing sixth year in succession!

Emma Allroggen led the girls' team off at a great pace and had set up an almost insurmountable lead by the end of the first lap. Her teammates- Freya Bennett, Evie Carroll and Imogen Starling- then kept up the stranglehold to take the honours. The boys, with Sam Herniman setting up an early lead, also did extraordinarily well to come home as runners up.

Mr Neil Price, Bablake Junior School Headmaster, commented: 'Once again we can be very proud of our runners- their great determination produced outstanding results. Well done to everyone who took part and thanks especially to the teaching team for its unstinting efforts.'
