Possibly the biggest day in our former pupils' rugby club history is rapidly approaching, since the Old Wheatleyans' Junior Vase national semi-final kicks off at 3pm tomorrow- Saturday 7th April.
Over 300 spectators saw the Old Wheats win the Midlands Junior Vase final, so a repeat crowd would be fantastic encouragement for the semi-final tie against Baildon RFC, the Northern champions. Kick off is at 3pm at Norman Place Road (CV6 2NB), aka Stade Wheats.
At stake is a national final at England's HQ, but club captain Paul Wright has banned all mention of this for the moment.
Footnote:
It is well worth commending the spirit of Bloxwich RFC, whom we beat in the Midlands final, for their very much appreciated message wishing our boys well for tomorrow.
