Warwickshire Cricketer Paul Best Returns To Present 2014 Sports Awards

Our second Sports Awards evening, celebrating our winter sports, took place this week with former pupil and professional cricketer Paul Best presenting the awards.

Before handing out the trophies and certificates, Paul Best, who joined us direct from a practice with Warwickshire CC, addressed the pupils and parents. He spoke of the value of the friendships he had made through school, university and professional sport; he even confessed he had never been more nervous than before the kick off for the 1st XV rugby fixture against KHVIII.

Miss Hannah Moseley, Head of Girls' PE, commented: 'The PE department once again was really pleased with our parents and pupils' enthusiastic attendance. The Main Hall was packed, and celebrating the best of Bablake pupils' sporting achievements, both in and beyond school, was, as always a proud moment.'
